About Scribbal
Chris Credendino is the Co-founder and Managing Editor of Scribbal. Chris is responsible for setting the direction of Scribbal, editorial strategy and management, and staff management.
Chris is an avid sports fan, BlackBerry, Droid, and iPad user, Florida State University fanatic, and a huge fan of all things technology, gadgets, and social media.
Chris holds two undergraduate degrees and is currently pursing a master’s degree in business management.
John Arkontaky cut his teeth in media freelancing for a local Westchester, NY newspaper and later as an editor at Electronic Design Magazine. Preferring freelance work, John writes articles for the video game and information-service industries in addition to contributing regularly to Scribbal’s site.
Under the philosophy that you can never know everything, John approaches his articles with a curiosity and open mind. Because social media changes by the minute, he’s always sniffing out the newest tidbits of information while still trying to master the social media services we know and love.
When he’s not hovering over a computer monitor, John likes to game on his Xbox and PS3, shoot hoops, cook and read anything from Dostoevsky to comic books…ahem…graphic novels.
Kris Holt is a Montrealer by way of a small city in Scotland. He has a master’s degree in English and is a former newspaper sub-editor, video games reviewer and sports writer. Aside from being a tech and social media advocate, Kris is a movie nerd, television fiend and likes to think of himself as creative. He would also like you to know he is far less mean then he looks in his photo.
Mariel Loveland is a writer from New Jersey who has worked with numerous publications including HerCampus.com, Lucky Magazine Online and the New York Egotist. She’s a former Social Media Coordinator and has a B.A. in Creative Writing from SUNY Purchase with a minor in Studio Composition.
When Mariel is not writing or obsessively checking apps on her Droid, she’s playing with her band, writing songs and watching way too much reality TV. She also likes to blog about clothes and has a weekly fashion column in the Westwood-Washington branch of Patch.com.
Olivia Patrick is currently an undergrad at Georgia Tech majoring in management with concentrations in I.T. and Marketing, and planning to graduate in December of 2011. She has worked as a Social Media Analyst at a top brand for two years. In addition, she currently serves on the board of Social Media Club-Atlanta and in the AiMA Social Media Special Interest Group. Olivia has been an AiMA summer intern for the past two years, and recently won the Summer Intern Scholarship. She recently participated in Social Media Atlanta as organizer and speaker of the ‘GenY and Social Media Panel.’ She hopes to continue on in the field of Social Media upon graduation, and would like to head to Europe for a few years.
When not online, Olivia enjoys travelling, hiking, kayaking, caving, and overall just being outdoors. Her life motto’s include ‘Enjoy Life Today’ and ‘This Too Shall Pass.’
