Next Media Animation Pays Tribute To Steve Jobs In New YouTube Video
The passing of Steve Jobs has caused a public outpouring of grief on an enormous scale. In the 12 hours after the news of his death became public knowledge, around 2.5 million tweets and 13,284 blog posts related to Jobs had been posted, while there were more than 30,000 mentions of Jobs in news articles. Tributes have poured in from all corners of the globe (this one, a portrait of Jobs made from the parts of a MacBook Pro, is among the best I’ve seen so far), with one notable tribute being paid to Jobs by Next Media Animation (NMA).
The company, which creates animated videos based on topical news events, has published a new video which depicts people hearing about and reacting to the news of Jobs’ death. The video also features an animated version of Bill Gates, which sheds a tear onto a photo of Gates and Jobs before writing a tribute to the Apple co-founder.
The tone is much more somber than previous NMA videos we’ve written about, but the company has delivered a poignant tribute to a true visionary.
