On Monday, GetGlue added new features to its website, including the ability to take part in a real-time conversation around a topic you have checked into. That functionality was added to its iPhone app last month and now the social entertainment check-in service has added the feature to its Android app and mobile website.

While you are watching a show or sporting event on TV, you’ll be able to participate in a conversation with other GetGlue users as the show airs. You’ll see all comments from your friends related to that topic along with interesting comments from other users.

The service has redesigned its user experience within the app and mobile site to give the conversation feature a chat-style vibe. Several other screens within the app have been redesigned too. For instance, you’ll be able to check-in, access your stream and get to other sections of the app faster from the home screen. The streamlined check-in flow means that you need to visit one fewer screen during the check-in process.
