Disqus Rolls Out Notification Box For Unapproved Comments
The commenting platform Disqus has rolled out a new notification box that will offer users more transparency when they’re waiting for a comment to be approved.
Previously, it was easy for users to forget about comments waiting for approval, which cut down on the conversation that was going on in threads that used the platform. On top of that, users frequently didn’t know why their comments were unapproved if they didn’t make it past the moderation.
The new notification box rests at the top of the comment thread if any of your comments are awaiting moderation. If your comment does not get approved, the notification box will be able to offer you feedback about why it wasn’t approved. Usually when a comment isn’t approved it’s because a users used a blacklisted word or because the spam filter is still processing the comment.
The notification box is also specific to the thread to keep each conversation organized. If you are awaiting approval on a comment and visit another site that uses Disqus or another thread within the same site, you won’t see the notification box. However, when you return to the original thread, it will be there.
The new feature is enabled for all Early Adopters. If you want to access the feature now, you need enable the Early Adopter flag that’s in your Disqus Settings.
Disqus recently rolled out a number of updates in addition to the notification box. In September the service launched a ranking system that would reward top commenters and earlier in the summer, Disqus added the ability to mention someone in a thread with the @ symbol. The service is coming off a $10 million round of funding which they raised in early May, so it’s no wonder that so many new developments have gone underway.

Excellent post. Disqus is popular method of doing comments. Everybody like to do comments with this because it approved comments in short time period & better in comparison to other commenting systems.
