Twitter Video-sharing Service Twitvid Raises $6.5M In Funding
Twitvid, a service that helps users share video on Twitter, has raised $6.5 million in Series B funding. The round was lead by Azure Capital Partners with participation from existing investor, Draper Fisher Jurvetson.
Twitvid plans to use their funding to expand their team and develop their product and technology infrastructure. With the investment, Azure Capital General Partner, Cameron Lester, is joining Twitvid’s board of directors.
Mo Al Adham, Twitvid’s CEO, spoke on Lester’s addition to the board.
We are excited to have Azure on board as a partner given their deep relationships and experience. As the leading video service in the thriving Twitter ecosystem, our product hits the sweet spot between mobile, social and video, and this new capital is key to help us expand our product offering and continue our rapid growth.
Twitvid, which launched in 2009, has grown its user base by 100 percent each year, making it one of the leading video-sharing services for Twitter.
