INFOGRAPHIC: 71% Of Americans Watch Videos On Video-sharing Services
Since YouTube launched back in 2005, online video has exploded in popularity. For instance, YouTube receives more than 3 billion views per day. Video-sharing services in general have become so popular that around 71 percent of Americans now watch and share videos on services such as YouTube and Vimeo.
A new infographic created by the Column Five team and published by Wistia highlights some facts about video-sharing habits among Americans. Since 2006, the percentage of Americans who use video-sharing services has more than doubled. The vast majority (92 percent) of those aged 18-29 use such services, while the percentage of men and women who use them is equal.
Parents are more likely to use video-sharing sites than those without kids, while the biggest increase in visitors to these services has come from those who live in rural areas.
