GetGlue, NBC Offer Comedy Show Studio Audience Members Stickers For Checking-in
GetGlue has teamed up with NBC to offer some cool stickers to studio audience members of some of the network’s late night comedy shows — “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and “Saturday Night Live.”
You can only unlock these stickers if you attend a taping of the shows. There are posters with instructions on how to obtain the stickers at the NBC studios in New York and Los Angeles, the locations where the shows are taped. You will need to use the GetGlue app (available for iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry devices) or mobile website — which received an overhaul in June — to grab the stickers. The stickers are available to those attending tapings of the shows from Wednesday onwards.
“We are thrilled to grow our relationship with NBC by creating super exclusive stickers for those fans who attend a live taping of the ‘Tonight Show,’ ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ and ‘Saturday Night Live,’” said Alex Iskold, founder and CEO of GetGlue. “This is the first time we have created stickers for an audience taping and NBC late night is the perfect partner to start this program with.”
This is a pretty cool partnership for GetGlue, which now has more than 1.5 million users and had a strong summer where it saw a 130 percent rise in monthly check-ins from May to 11.5 million check-ins in August. This is just the latest step in GetGlue’s relationship with NBC as the company teamed up with NBC Universal earlier this year to offer users stickers for checking-in to certain shows on NBC Universal’s cable networks such as USA Network and Syfy.
