GetGlue Launches ‘GetGlue For Business,’ Dashboard For TV Networks
This summer GetGlue saw a 130 percent rise in check-ins and reached over 1.5 million users. Now the entertainment check-in service has announced a brand new way for TV networks to connect with fans. On Thursday, the company launched the beta version of GetGlue for Business, a new kind of dashboard that lets networks verify their accounts, setup pages, add social media links, manage stickers, create specials and view analytics. It appears they have taken a page out of the Foursquare playbook.
With the new dashboard, GetGlue is creating new ways networks can use specials and stickers. Stickers will be easier to add and manage in the new dashboard. You’ll be able to see a list of new stickers coming this week and the week after and you’ll be able to edit the name, description, and timing for the sticker — just in case there are any errors.
Currently, specials include discounts, coupons and exclusive content and can be attached to a check-in or sticker. Specials can also unlock for Fans, Superfans and the Guru, like how HBO created a special for users who unlocked all 12 True Blood stickers and gave them 30 percent off in their online store. In the future, GetGlue hopes to add a way to create new stickers from scratch in the dashboard.
GetGlue’s dashboard makes managing an account easier and the company has created easier ways to update images, descriptions and your social media presence through the use of the dashboard. Twitter handles and hashtags can be filled out so that GetGlue check-ins are Twitter search friendly.
The new dashboard offers an analytics page where you can get analytics that display user engagement statistics by day, week or month. The data breaks up into total check-ins, unlocked stickers and how many users your Facebook and Twitter accounts reach.
GetGlue has created and verified accounts for 10 major networks that include USA, HBO, Oxygen and Discovery, but all business accounts on GetGlue need to be verified before you can use the dashboard. To verify your account, send an email to [email protected] with all your information.
At the time of this writing, this service is only open to TV networks, but GetGlue is working to enable movie studios and music labels to use the same platform.
