Maroon 5 Singer Adam Levine Slams Video Music Awards On Twitter, MTV Responds With Tweet
Maroon 5 lead singer and “The Voice” judge Adam Levine has lashed out at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Twitter, claiming that the network only pretends to care about music when the VMAs roll around each year.
Levine tweeted, “the VMA’s. one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music. I’m drawing a line in the sand. f*** you VMA’s.”
MTV tweeted back at the singer, adding a little humor, asking him if he would be watching Sunday’s award ceremony and if he would tweet a photo of the Best New Artist award his band won at the 2004 VMAs:
Levine appeared to ignore that tweet and later said that he did not regret his remarks.
With reality shows receiving more and more attention on MTV — the recent season premiere of “Jersey Shore” attracted the most social engagement of any TV show this year and was MTV’s most-watched season premiere ever — Levine may have had a point, but I’m not sure that cursing out the VMAs was the most constructive way to make it.
What do you think of Levine’s rant against the VMAs? Do you think he’s right?
yup he is right
MTV does not care about Music if the did they would show Videos , unlike MTV Gret Britain , MTV USA Sucks ,
